X-Ray Diffraction

The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis, is one of the most useful analytic tool used to identify crystalline forms of compounds present in powdered and solid samples.

X-Ray Fluorescence

The X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) is a fast and reliable chemical analysis tool to identify and quantify elements in our materials. Analyzing from fluorine to uranium and in very low concentrations up to 100%, is possible to analyze a variety of solids and liquids, such as geological samples, dolomite, kaolinite, silica sands, soils, metals, polymers, oils with high precision.

Grain Size Distribution

Particle size contributes to many material properties such as stability, strength, or flowability. That is why measuring these sizes is of great importance in many industries.

Percentage of Moisture

Measurement of percentage of Moisture contended in the sample by gravimetric method, heating up to 100° C± 5°C for 120 minutes.

Percentage Loss on Ignition (LOI)

Measurement of the percentage of weight loss during ignition by gravimetric method, heating up to 950° ± 5°C for 60 minutes. Used to complement the chemical analysis by X-Ray Fluorescence

Densidad Real de polvos y líquidos por Picnómetro o Matraz de Le Chatelier

Powder and Liquids True Density by Pycnometer or Le Chatelier flask NNM-L-159

Measurement of the true density of powders or liquids, these methods are mainly used to determine the quality of Barite according its density.

Determination of Moisture, Ash, Volatile Matter, and Fixed Carbon for Coal or Coke samples.

For Coal or Coke samples, we use ASTM methods for the determination of Moisture (ASTM D-3173), Ash (ASTM D-3174), Volatile Matter (ASTM D-3175), and Fixed Carbon.

Loose and bulk density of powders, according to ISO 787 / 11.

These methods help determine density using a volumetric method in powder samples, commonly used to measure volumes in transport trucks with hoppers, containers, etc. Loose or Apparent Density: When the powder is poured into a container or hopper without any compaction. Bulk Density: When the sample is poured into a container or hopper and compacted by percussion.

Angulo de reposo en polvos

Determines the maximum angle at which the material can be piled without suffering a sliding or slumping.

Bulk Specific Gravity (BSG) Density for the fraction -4 +6 mesh.

Method used to determine density and porosity of a coarse material such as aggregates for construction.

Mineral Separation by Heavy Liquids

Used to separate fractions of different minerals contained in a sample, using a liquid to separate them according their densities.

Oil Absorption Index ASTM D 281

Determines the quantity of required oil absorbed by a wight fraction of a pigment, used to adjust the batch materials for pigments or fillers in polymers.

Grinding and Sample Preparation for Laboratories

Grinding service using a Retsch disc mill, we offer it as a solution to other laboratories that require pulverized samples for their own analyses.
