X-Ray Fluorescence

Why use X-Ray Fluorescence?

The X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) is a fast and reliable chemical analysis tool to identify and quantify elements in our materials. Analyzing from fluorine to uranium and in very low concentrations up to 100%, is possible to analyze a variety of solids and liquids, such as geological samples, dolomite, kaolinite, silica sands, soils, metals, polymers, oils with high precision.

Is a fast and non-destructive analysis, using standards or reference materials to quantify the materials, is a very reliable tool, also is possible to carry out a semi-quantitative analysis for unknown materials, and only a few grams or a small piece of the sample are required.

Some applications for the XRD:
Quantitate chemical analysis of Silica Sand, Dolomite, Iron ore, Kaolinite, Metals, etc.
Impurities or Non-desirable elements ( Pb, Cd, As, Co, etc.)
Environmental samples
Characterization of Alloys, Ferroalloys, Fluxes
Quantification of elements in minerals of high economic interest
Semi-quantitative analysis for all type of unknown samples

Algunas de las Aplicaciones son las Siguientes:

  • Análisis Químico Cuantitativo en Dolomita, Mineral de Hierro, Aceros, Caolines, etc.
  • Identificación de impurezas (metales pesados o tóxicos, Pb, Cd, As, Co, etc.)
  • Análisis de muestras ambientales
  • Identificación de aleaciones
  • Identificación de elementos de interés económico en muestras geológicas
  • Análisis Semicuantitativo
  • Análisis Cuantitativo (se requieren estándares)
